Why Seascale exists
Coastal teams often work with fragile records, changing conditions, and tools that disappear when a pilot or grant ends. Seascale is being shaped around the work that helps a useful tool last: field review, translation, training, maintenance, and clear local responsibility.
The starting point is the Coral Triangle, where biodiversity, culture, climate pressure, long field distances, and uneven connectivity meet in everyday decisions.
What must be true before work begins
- Begin with a clear local need and a team able to review it.
- Define permissions, safeguards, responsibility, and maintenance before a field trial.
- Describe concepts as concepts until a real partner and measured result can be named.
The current stage
The current public portfolio is at concept stage. Project pages explain the intended direction and the questions a responsible trial would need to answer. They do not claim deployed programmes, named partners, or measured outcomes.
Legal identity, payment routes, partner roles, and any eligibility for tax relief are confirmed directly before a funding agreement. This site does not ask visitors to assume details that have not been published.
